The BCA Chemistry Team is a group of avid chemistry students that meets for weekly chemistry-related lectures in Room 244 on Thursdays from 4:15-5:30pm! ChemTeam is a member of the American Chemistry Society (ACS) and has participated in events such as the ACS ChemExpo at the Liberty Science Center. ChemTeam members also prepare for the Chemistry Olympiad Exam and run a mentoring center, which offers assistance to all students either online or in person. Any chemistry students are welcome to attend meetings, as members will always be willing to help those with questions!
The mission of the BCA Chem Team Tutoring Center is to provide all the students at BCA with any help needed of a remotely chemistry-related nature. We strive to teach chemistry down to underlying principles rather than simply show how to do problems. If there is the right understanding of the concepts and topics, just about any problem can be solved.
The Tutoring Center has a staff of experienced and advanced chemistry students who will tutor you in any chemistry class - for free! Tutors receive community service or NHS hours for their assistance.
